We've all got them; some whose dreams may be wilder than others'. Here is a list of MY wildest dreams: (brace yourself, folks!)
- To complete a triathlon: If I were consistent and super dedicated to
my workouts and fitness regimes, perhaps this dream would be at least
somewhat achievable.
- To be a fitness model: I've always wanted to be one of those really lean and toned-looking girls featured on those fitness magazines doing exercises. But with my short stature and curves, this dream is surely out of reach. (But hey, a girl can dream... right?)
- To be a certified jet-setter: if there's one thing in the world I would pour my money out on (given that I had access to a hefty bank-account), I would travel the world from continent to continent. I just loooove visiting various countries and experiencing numerous cultures.
- To be whisked away on a horse-drawn carriage after my wedding ceremony: my wedding need not be extravagant! In fact, I am all for simplicity in my wedding. But, making my exit by this means of transport would be my version of a fairy-tale wedding.
- To pursue a career in Psychiatry working half the year as a doctor in my home country (Canada) and the other half in my native country (Philippines), every year! But, where would I get the money to fund such a huge and pricey ambition??
- (In relation to the previous one) To break the stigma of mental illness in the Philippines: mental illness affects anyone and everyone. Unfortunately in this country, mental illnesses (like depression and bipolar disorder) are almost unheard of and considered taboo by most of the population. But, how on earth would one of me break the stigma held by an entire population?
- To be a burlesque dancer in my secret life: there is something so sexy about a girl doing a striptease.... it's tasteful and certainly leaves some for the imagination. Plus, it requires killer body-confidence! But, who would ever think that being a doctor by day and a burlesque dancer by night would be at all acceptable?!
- To contribute to the good of humanity: Just like Gracie Lou Freebush, in Miss Congeniality, all I really want is world peace!!
